NEW UTILITY SERVICE REGISTRATION:
To establish utility service you will need to fill out the following:
1.) Provide a current valid drivers license or state issued ID.
2.) Read & sign the gas safety acknowledgment form.
3.) Fill out the dog registration form & provide proof of rabies vaccination.
4.) Read our sewer policy.
5.) Read the excess flow valve information.
6.) Review the trash/recycle information.
7.) Read our deposit policy
8.) Fill out the utility contract form, check the boxes, & sign
9.) Pay connection fees, 1st month trash, and deposit (or provide letter of credit from a current utility account in your name for the most recent 12 months with no more than 3 penalties/late fees to waive the deposit)
Water connection fee: $25
Gas connection fee: $25
Trash: $19.75 (Residential- if you have city water you must have trash)
Water Utility Deposit: $100 Residential; $200 Commercial
Gas Utility Deposit $200 Residential; $300 Commercial
**Deposit is refunded back to the utility account as a credit after 12 consecutive on-time payments have been applied.

If you would like to have your payment automatically deducted from your account each month please fill out the BANK AUTHORIZATION FORM and return. Payments are deducted on the 15th of every month. By signing up for the auto-debit you are eligible to receive your utility statement by email.
Utility bills are billed from the 15th to the 15th of the previous month and mailed the 1st of the month with payment due by the 17th of each month. After the 17th a 10% penalty is assessed, you then have until the end of the month to make payment before being subject to disconnection. Disconnection will result in additional fees as well as a deposit fee if not currently on file. You can pay your utility bill coming to City Hall during business hours, dropping it in the drop box by our front door, online by clicking on the Utility payment button or clicking on the Online payment button, or you can sign-up for automatic payments by filling out the Bank Authorization form.
Trash is picked up every Monday with recycling every other Monday. You can find a schedule of pick-up days on our website under the Utilities section then click on Trash.
If you are new to town and establishing service for the first time we welcome you to stop by City Hall, 131 N Main, and pick-up a welcome packet that is full of useful information, coupons, and different items from local businesses in town.
