Sedgwick County Fair

If you’re looking for good food, great entertainment, and friendly people, the Sedgwick County Fair is the place to go. The Sedgwick County Fairgrounds are located on South Main Street in Cheney. Each year in July, people of all ages visit the Fair for numerous reasons. Several enjoy the parade on Thursday night, the Bull Blowout on Friday night, and the Demolition Derby Saturday night. There’s also a popular Fair Idol Contest.

During the day, visitors can watch the annual softball tournament, stroll through the vendor booths, check out the 4-H projects or even partake in the Run to Cheney, Washer Tournament or a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament. No one can leave without having an infamous funnel cake, freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade, homemade bierocks, or roasted corn. Oh, and don’t forget the Pronto Pup and homemade pie.
