The City of Cheney is governed by a Mayor and City Council for of government. The Mayor is elected every two years, while City Council members serve four year terms. City elections are held every even-numbered year, with either two or three City Council seats up for election.

Cheney is managed by a professional staff in numerous departments, led by a full-time City Administrator. City staff can be contacted by calling City Hall at (316) 540-3622, or visit our City Staff page for more contact information.

City Hall is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Offices are closed on most recognized federal and state holidays. We hope many of your questions can be answered with our website.
