it is important to Shop Local and support businesses within Cheney.
With this in mind, “Cheney Bucks” were created to promote
shopping local.

you support local jobs. During times like these, spending those
dollars at home makes an even greater impact on our local economy.
Sales tax that is generated by local
purchases goes to fund important city departments such as fire,
police, parks, library, and senior services. Businesses also support
and sponsor local events and activities that make Cheney a great
place to live.
We want to encourage local shoppers to
look here first before making a trip out of town. Shoppers will often
save time and money by shopping locally instead of taking a long
trip.
As a way to promote shopping
local, the Cheney Area Chamber of Commerce has created “Cheney
Bucks”. By purchasing “Cheney Bucks” you are not only
supporting Cheney businesses, but you are keeping money local.
“Cheney Bucks” are simply a gift certificate that can be used at
businesses belonging to the Cheney Area Chamber of Commerce. They are
essentially the perfect gift for anyone!
To redeem Cheney Bucks, merely
purchase an item or items at a business located on the inside of the
brochure. Hand over your Cheney Bucks like a check to the merchant.
Change will be made by the merchant for the balance of the
transaction. If your purchase is valued more than your Cheney Bucks,
pay the merchant the balance with cash, credit, or check.
