Food Truck Application:
In order to operate a mobile food truck in the City of Cheney you need to obtain a mobile food truck permit. An application must be completed and the following documents provided; Drivers Licenses, Current Sales Tax License, State of Kansas Food Service Permit, General Liability Insurance, Written Permission from Property Owner.
Application fees are as follows:
One week (Consecutive Days) - $25
One Month (Consecutive Days) - $60
Six Months (Consecutive Days) - $200
Annual (expires 365 days from issuance) - $400
Please complete the Mobile Food Truck Application and return to City Hall, Monday - Thursday 7:30am-5pm or Friday 7:30am-1 pm. along with payment for Application.
All solicitor, canvassers, and peddlers are required to obtain a license from City Hall before conducting business. An application must be completed and the individual will undergo a background check. Upon review, if the applicant’s character or business responsibility is found to be satisfactory, a license will be issued and must be carried with the licensee. Applicants are required to pay $25 for the background check and $25 per day to conduct business within Cheney. No license will be issued if the applicant’s character or business responsibility is found to be unsatisfactory. If a license is not obtained or those who shall fail or refuse to comply with the provisions shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100 and/or incarcerated for
not more than 30 days.
