Sewer rate:

$14.00 for up to 2000 gallons
Additional usage = $3.60 per 1,000 gallons

Water rate:

$21.50 for first 1,000 gallons
Additional usage = $2.20 per 1,000 gallons

Gas rate:

The city uses a tiered rate system, with a base rate plus a monthly usage rate.

Trash/recycling rate:

On Jan. 1, 2008, the City of Cheney switched to one citywide trash service, awarding a three-year contract to Lies Trash Service to provide residential trash service and curbside recycling.

Residential cost is $17.00 per household.

City utility bills are mailed the first of every month; bills are past due on the 17th of every month. If bills are still unpaid by the shut-off date on the bill, then gas and water service may be shut off.

Payments may be made in three ways:
1) In person at City Hall, 131 N. Main, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.;
2) Mailed to P.O. Box I, Cheney, KS 67025;
3) Dropped into the 24-hour drop box at the front door of City Hall.
