New playground equipment installed at Budd Park

City crews have finished installing playground equipment at Budd Park, located at 2nd and Marshall. The new equipment is the result of three years of fundraising efforts. Donations from the annual Make A Difference Day auction, a commemorative brick sale, grants and donations from local residents and businesses have made the playground equipment possible. The new equipment is ADA-compliant.

This spring, the city plans to install new sidewalks along the east side of the park, near the equipment and parking area off the alley. The commerative bricks will be installed at that time. The city also is working to secure a grand that would replace the sand surface before the playground equipment with a safer surface made from recycled tires.
