Cherry Oaks Golf Course Cherry Oaks Golf Club became an 18-hole course when the back nine opened July 15, 2005. The city took control of the municipal course on April 1, 2004, and began the expansion process. The course is open 364 days a year. Amenties include a driving range, practice green, and recently remodelled club house with merchandise, snacks and beverages. Recent improvements include the addition of many new trees, including 250 planted in 2007. The course is located on the north edge of town on Main Street, and is easily accessible to golfers from Wichita, Hutchinson and surrounding communities. Tee times are encouraged, especially on weekends and holidays. Please call 540-0133. Cherry Oaks offers private lessons, men's and women's leagues in the summer, and can easily accomodate tournaments. The new outdoor pavillion is now open at Cherry Oaks and is available for many events including family gatherings, class reunions and golf tournaments.
