The comfortable lifestyle in Cheney has been a major draw for new residents over the last decade, as well as a primary reason that many residents continue to call Cheney home. Cheney is recognized for its excellent public and private schools, including a public system that has passed two bond issues in the last eight years providing for a new high school, an expanded grade school, and improved classrooms and technology.

For a quarter of a century, the Cheney Senior Center has provided a place to gather for area senior citizens. From a monthly potluck, to cards and games and special events, there is a lot going on at the Senior Center.
